Garden Plastic

I am a long way away from becoming an actual gardener, but this summer I did take my first steps in growing my food. I planted four cherry tomato plants in my front yard.

Growing your own food comes with many benefits, including the potential to be plastic free. I was disappointed however to see that my tomato plants came in a plastic container. I held onto the container all summer thinking I would come up with some cool way to reuse it. It dawned on though me that the farm I had purchased the plants from would be happy to take it back. Most farm stands  collect all containers and trays to reuse in the next season. Pretty cool...
